THE PROTAGONIST
Original poem by Gaudys Laxury
One hour, ten minutes, or a five-second contribution?
Come on! Give credit where credit is due.
Don’t come at me with—”Your time was last year.”
Was I only the protagonist that one time, the first time?
But, now is the time for others to shine?
What you really meant to say is “step to the side, go hide, come back when it’s low tide.”
Really? Not really.
Give credit where credit is due.
You can do it. Put egos aside.
Don’t be afraid to support one another.
To run with the wolves, but why bother?
Nope, never mind.
A good leader includes everyone in the pack.
It’s your time to shine, last time and this time too.
A good leader gives credit to the whole of the team.
All of the rainbow, not just the green.
A good leader does not single one person out.
Dimming the lights of the other.
What’s that all about?
You can do better than that.
Past protagonist?
Don’t think so.
Don’t put baby in the corner.
Baby will come out stronger than ever.
Talk to the hand and the back.
While placing the Wonder Woman stance.
