ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Gaudys Laxury is an artist, writer, and observer of the world whose work moves between visual expression and storytelling. Her creative process unfolds across painting, drawing, photography, and writing, each serving as a different language through which emotion, movement, and meaning take form. Some works begin with intention, others emerge through instinct, but all are rooted in a continuous exploration of perception and experience.
Alongside her artistic practice, her background spans law, cybersecurity, and global health research, where she has engaged with complex systems, data, and interdisciplinary analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in International Studies and a legal education, experiences that shape the way she interprets structure, pattern, and human behavior within her work. This intersection of analytical depth and creative intuition informs a body of work that is both expressive and deeply considered.
Her publications include The Pearl Inside the Orchid, an art and poetry collection that merges image and language, and Los Chorritos de Valeria, a short fiction piece featured in the anthology Peinate. At its core, her work is driven by curiosity, moments that linger, and the quiet need to translate what is seen, felt, and imagined into something tangible.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am a self-taught artist who finds expression through art. My creative process is driven by a wide range of influences, from emotions and life experiences to spontaneous observations and quiet moments that spark curiosity. Each piece emerges from a different state of mind, shaped by instinct rather than a fixed plan.
I approach my work without a predetermined outcome, allowing it to evolve naturally. It is only after stepping back that I begin to understand what has taken form. No two works are the same. Each carries its own rhythm, its own language, and its own moment in time.
I see art as a universal language, one that allows ideas to take shape and thoughts to move freely beyond words. Through this process, I continue to explore, question, and grow, both as an artist and as an observer of the world.

NOTABLE COLLABORATIONS & CREATIVE PROJECTS:
As an Associate Producer, I was honored to have my artworks, Burst, Waves, and Confusion featured as background designs in various scenes which added an artistic touch to the show’s visual experience. The Blue Wall: The Series, is a police procedural web show that defied the conventions of typical cop dramas. Blending elements of mystery and thriller, the series echoed the intensity of “The Shield” and the intrigue of “The Usual Suspects,” captivating audiences with its unpredictable twists and a surprising finale.
