Happy to share that, La Pluma y La Tinta, publication published my first short-fiction story, Los Chorritos de Valeria, in the Peinate: Hair Battles Between Latina Mothers & Daughters anthology book.
Los Chorritos de Valeria is an empowering short-story based on my curly hair journey as a little kid and the inspiring relationship with my mother. The story was inspired by my upbringing in the vibrant Upper West Side. This piece was written to reflect the love, acceptance, and empowerment instilled by my mother.
